Submission deadline for the second round of the CIP Idea Contest extended

Dear subscriber,

The submission deadline for the second round of the Civic Innovation Platform (CIP) “AI is what we make it!” idea contest has been extended. The new deadline is 11.59 pm on 07 October 2021. Until then, project teams can submit their ideas for AI providing benefits for the common good.

With this project, the Policy Lab investigates how AI can be used to generate societal and social progress. In the first round we heard about 25 ideas that aimed at achieving more participation, more justice and less stress at work. The second round of the idea contest is currently underway. The teams with the most promising submissions will once again be invited to pitch their ideas to a panel of experts and, if selected, win up up to €20.000. In addition to financial support, teams with award-winning ideas will benefit from advice and workshops that will help them develop their ideas further.

More information about the idea contest can be found here.

Do you have an idea for AI providing benefits for the common good which you would like to enter into our competition? Or do you know someone who has great ideas but doesn’t yet know about the Civic Innovation Platform? Then submit your project draft now, or help share the information.

If you have any questions, we’re here to help. Write to the CIP team at innovation[at]bmas.bund.de or call the CIP Service Hotline at +49 (0)800 808 11 20. (Monday to Friday between 9 a.m. and 6 p.m.)

We’re really looking forward to all your different visions for AI providing benefits for the common good and to your exciting and innovative ideas.
