One year AI strategy: results and outlook
At the Digital Summit in Dortmund, the leading ministries presented their progress within the framework of the AI strategy.
About a year ago, the federal government adopted its national AI strategy at the Digital Summit in Nuremberg. At the 14th Digital Summit 2019 in Dortmund on 28th and 29th October, the three leading federal ministries (BMWi, BMBF, BMAS) took stock and gave an outlook on the next steps in the implementation of the strategy.
On behalf of the Ministry of Labour and Social Affairs, State Secretary Björn Böhning discussed with Laura Wirtz, Lead Strategy & Business Development ING AG and member of the focus group AI in the world of work, and Matthias Hartmann, Chairman of the Management Board IBM Germany, the challenges that the use of AI means for employees and companies. The BMAS, which is in charge of the field of action Work and Society, has already initiated a decisive measure from the AI strategy and promotes AI learning and experimentation spaces in companies.
