Invitation: Opening of the German AI-Observatory

Dear subscriber,

We cordially invite you to attend the opening ceremony of the AI-Observatory on March 3rd, 2020, in Berlin.

How does artificial intelligence (AI) shape our working world? How will it change our society? Which guidelines do we need to ensure AI is secure, transparent and understandable? How can we guarantee the success of a human-centred and participatory use of AI in the world of work and beyond?

The Federal Ministry of Labour and Social Affairs is meeting these challenges with the AI-Observatory, a project of the Policy Lab Digital, Work & Society. At the crossroads between politics, science, economy and society, the Observatory acts as a knowledge carrier and source of inspiration. Its task is to anticipate the effects of AI in the working world at an early stage and to indicate any necessary need for action. In this way, the Observatory will contribute to the responsible use of AI in the working world and society in accordance with the goals of the AI Strategy of the Federal Government. At the same time, it will enable and encourage social actors to deal with artificial intelligence.

The event will take place on:

March 3rd, 2020, from 9:30 to 16:30
Cafe Moskau
Karl-Marx-Allee 34
10178 Berlin

You can find the detailed program of the opening event on the homepage of the Policy Lab Digital, Work & Society.
The event will be held in English and in German with simultaneous translation.
