Interdisciplinary council on employee data protection

In a digitalised, data-driven working world, more and more employee personal data will accumulate. To date, there have been no specific statutory provisions enacted for protecting employees’ personal rights. With this in mind, in order to implement the coalition agreement for the 19th legislative period, the interdisciplinary council on employee data protection was tasked with reviewing whether a separate law on employee data protection was required. The concluding report by the Council put forward 12 propositions for a future-oriented form of employee data protection.
